What is the training for?
Want to get the best out of your dog, and see them enjoy the thing they love to do best? Want to learn a new skill for you and your dog? Love working with your dog and doing fun activities together? Look no further.......
This 4 part scent detection class will teach you and your dog some fun new skills you can use for the rest of their lives. Scent work is ideal for every dog of every life stage, ranging from puppies to old age dogs! Scent work is stimulating and calming for your puppy or dog.
During this 4 part class you will learn:
Classes are taught by Zoe Willingham, who is a qualified Scent Detection Instructor, through the UK College of Scent Detection. Zoe has been trained and assessed by Operational Scent handlers and instructors from the Metropolitan Police, elite firearms support dog unit and medical detection dogs to name a few.
The course runs over 4 dates allowing time in between to train and perfect the learnings from each class. Classes are 9am -10am.
Classes are held in a secure grassed paddock at the Blue Cross Rehoming Centre in Ipswich.

What to bring to class:
Water and water bowls are provided, but if your dog prefers their own please feel free to bring that as well. We recommend not feeding a morning meal, or at least reducing it, as the training is reward based and their tummy’s will fill up quickly!!!

Payment of fees should be made at the time of placing a booking. Failure to make payment will result in the booking being cancelled.
Helping animals in need through training
We are delighted to be training at the Blue Cross. Best Behaviour Dog Training support the rescue dogs with financial contributions for the use of the space as well as giving the Blue Cross rescue dogs a space in every class so they have time out of kennels, and interaction with dogs and people whilst they are waiting to find their forever home.
